چکیده

In this study, a quasi-realistic thermodynamic analysis was performed to investigate the effects of design and operating parameters on performance single-cylinder modern Atkinson cycle engine. Fortran used for all calculations. It assumed that fuel-air mixture as working fluid, iso-octane fuel. The Wiebe function combustion process it specific heat fluid varies with temperature. calculations, transfer loss, efficiency, mechanical friction, pumping losses were taken into account. analysis, closing intake valve, equivalence ratio, geometric compression initial conditions proses independent variables. these variables brake mean effective pressure, power, fuel consumption, thermal efficiency investigated. Increasing inlet increasing delaying valve increased engine output torque. increase in temperature adversely affected consumption increased. Engine worsened when ratio fell below 0.8 rose above 0.9.

Thermodynamic Assessment and Optimization of Performance of Irreversible Atkinson Cycle

Although various investigations of Atkinson cycle have been carried out, distinct output power and thermal efficiencies of the engine have been achieved. In this regard, thermal efficiency, Ecological Coefficient of Performance (ECOP), and Ecological function (ECF) are optimized with the help of NSGA-II method and thermodynamic study.  The Pareto optimal frontier ...

Performance Optimization of an Air-Standard Irreversible Dual-Atkinson Cycle Engine Based on the Ecological Coefficient of Performance Criterion

This paper presents an ecological performance analysis and optimization for an air-standard irreversible Dual-Atkinson cycle (DAC) based on the ecological coefficient of performance (ECOP) criterion which includes internal irreversibilities, heat leak, and finite-rate of heat transfer. A comprehensive numerical analysis has been realized so as to investigate the global and optimal performances ...

Finite Time Thermodynamic Modeling and Analysis for an Irreversible Atkinson Cycle

Performance of an air-standard Atkinson cycle is analyzed by using finite-time thermodynamics. The irreversible cycle model which is more close to practice is founded. In this model, the nonlinear relation between the specific heats of working fluid and its temperature, the friction loss computed according to the mean velocity of the piston, the internal irreversibility described by using the c...

Finite-Time Thermodynamic Modeling and a Comparative Performance Analysis for Irreversible Otto, Miller and Atkinson Cycles

Finite-time thermodynamic models for an Otto cycle, an Atkinson cycle, an over-expansion Miller cycle (M1), an LIVC Miller cycle through late intake valve closure (M2) and an LIVC Miller cycle with constant compression ratio (M3) have been established. The models for the two LIVC Miller cycles are first developed; and the heat-transfer and friction losses are considered with the effects of real...

Unification in Quasi–Realistic Orbifold String GUTs

E6 grand unification combines the Standard Model matter and Higgs states in the single 27 representation. I discuss how the E6 structure underlies the quasi–realistic free fermion heterotic–string models. E6 → SO(10) × U(1) breaking is obtained by a GSO phase in the N = 1 partition function. The equivalence of this symmetry breaking phase with a particular choice of a boundary condition basis v...
